California’s COARSEGOLD (KSEE/KGPE) – At the Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino last week, a single jackpot of more than a million dollars was won.
A $10 wager on the Wheel of Fortune slot machine resulted in a $1.13 million prize, according to casino officials.
According to Deann Kamalani, director of marketing of Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, “it’s exciting for us to watch guest after guest hitting these large prizes at Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino.” Congratulations to this fortunate player and to all of the winners at our resort, who we see every day!
It was true when three-reel games dominated slot floors, and it is true now that video slots make up the vast majority of games: Slot machines that pay out in dollars have a higher payback percentage than machines that pay out in quarters, nickel, or pennies, which may pay out more. This does not imply that everyone should immediately go play some dollar slots.
Beyond payback percentage, there are other considerations, such as entertainment value and what you hope to get out of a game.
Increased-denomination games need larger bets and higher risk even in terms of pure dollars and cents. Your average losses will be higher if you wager $3 on a three-coin dollar slot that pays 95% than if you wager 40 cents on a 40-line one-cent game that pays 86%.
