A well-known poker player hit over $1.2M on Monday night after playing slot machines for about 12 hours at California’s Thunder Valley Casino Resort.
Allen Kessler, also known as “The Chainsaw,” was the lucky jackpot winner. He had bet $125.
I can’t believe that,” he was heard to say on a video after winning the money. “Oh my God… Did that really happen… I’ve been sitting here 12 hours.”
The amount won on the machine was just under $1,210,108.
There were cheers and applause from nearby players.
He later sent out a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, “Nothing is bothering me today.”
Omg this just f***n’ happened!,” he added in another post announcing the win.
He won the jackpot while playing a Buffalo Power Pay slot machine. It’s manufactured by Aristocrat Gaming.
The Las Vegas resident was described in a casino statement as a “loyal patron” of Thunder Valley for over 10 years. He takes part in poker tournaments and often plays slot machines at the Lincoln, Calif. gaming property.
“I have been very lucky at Thunder Valley over the years, and I love coming here,” Kessler said in a statement.
Kessler is also known for his national poker success. He’s taken part in the World Series of Poker (WSOP). He received four WSOP Circuit rings and has won some $2.3M, according to the BroBible website. At the recent 2024 WSOP in Las Vegas he won about $30K.
Kessler’s career earnings are over $3.87M, according to Wikipedia.
