California’s Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino closed amid armed showdown

A Central California Casino, Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino, was closed by a federal judge because of an armed showdown between tribal factions. The confrontation was such that a number of gamblers ran out of the casino, many leaving their chips on the tables.

It was U.S. District Judge Lawrence O’Neill that acted after receiving an emergency request from the state attorney general’s office. There is no set date for the possible reopening of the Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino in Coarsegold in California. The casino is located about 40 miles north of Fresno, The Fresno Bee reported ( http://bit.ly/1syCiKE ). The judge scheduled a hearing for Wednesday morning.

The alert went out over the inter-casino security system. There was a new card counter in town and he had been identified. It was celebrity actor Ben Affleck. The first reports said that the actor was banned from the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas but the truth was far less scandalous.

Casino ‘Wars’ Break Out In Northeast – Tax Breaks Sought

At one time, racetrack casinos contributed to as much as $239 million a year to the tax coffers of Delaware. But now the state’s casino revenues have fallen tremendously as a result of the growth of gambling destinations throughout the Northeast. This has prompted the industry to ask for tax breaks.

Delaware’s democratic Governor, Jack Markell stated, “It’s a different world for the Delaware casinos,” . Markell supports reducing the tax burden on casinos by as much as $20 million a year to allow them to compete with the expanded competition.

Don’t let the bean counters and odds trackers fool you. While it’s true that Video Poker and Blackjack are the best long-term games, you can definitely win serious money playing Keno. Especially when you play Four Card Keno. I play Four Card Keno when I’m too tired to concentrate on Video Poker strategy (my game of choice).
