BCSlots and Eilers & Krejcik Gaming Form a Strategic Partnership

After signing a strategic partnership, Brian Christoper and his company, BCSlots, will use Eilers & Krejcik Gaming (EKG)’s data and analytics to improve the statistical outlook on gambling and give gamblers a way to rate games.

BCSlots and EKG Sign Deal

According to Christoper, EKG has long collected technical data on machine-level performance. However, it lacked direct player input about their experiences with slot machines. During discussions, the idea emerged that combining these perspectives could provide a more comprehensive understanding of player behavior, preferences, and dislikes.

He further explained that the goal was to understand players’ perspectives and identify what excites them, what they want to see more of, and what frustrates them about slot machines. He emphasized the importance of gathering direct feedback from players. He also noted that slot manufacturers and casinos were encouraged to contact them or EKG to share the questions they wanted answered about player preferences and experiences.

Christopher explains that it is still too early to identify clear trends, as the first survey has only recently been published. He says the goal is to better understand followers’ likes and dislikes and, ultimately, build a more comprehensive picture of which slot games resonate with players, which fall short, and the reasons behind these preferences.

The deal between BCSlots and EKG comes less than a year and a half after Christopher dropped his first slot game, Brian Christopher’s World Cruise, developed with the aid of Gaming Arts.

Meanwhile, Todd Eilers, co-founder of Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, explained that the partnership would benefit both his company and BCSlots’ players. He explained that combining the company’s quantitative data with qualitative insights from BCSlots’ highly engaged, organic audience would provide a more comprehensive understanding of slot games. By integrating machine performance data with players’ actual experiences and perceptions, the partnership would offer EKG’s partners a new perspective on the slots available on the market.

What Else Will the Deal Produce?

Following the deal, a detailed research report will be jointly released and shared across EKG’s network of operator and supplier partners. It will provide game developers and casino decision-makers with data-driven insights into the preferences, behaviors, and motivations of today’s players.

Furthermore, a new player-voted category will also debut at the next EKG Slot Awards Show in Las Vegas. The award will honor the slot titles that generate the strongest enthusiasm among players throughout the year. The research findings will receive further exposure through BCSlots’ media platforms, including FlipTheSwitch.com, and will be discussed on EKG’s Bonus Round podcast, featuring appearances by BCSlots guests.

Cristopher said that, while it’s too early to establish what players want to see in slot games, he himself would like to see more feature-heavy games that keep him interested and keep him engaged longer, which is what he thinks other players would also want.
