In the spring of 2018, a guy from Davenport took home Iowa’s first Lotto America prize. It was finally time for the Hawkeye State to receive the second Lotto America prize five years later.
On April 1, an extremely fortunate player who bought a ticket in Dubuque managed to break a previous record in the lottery’s history, matching all six numbers and giving them the option to choose between receiving an annuity worth $40.03 million or $21.28 million in immediate cash.
