A woman named Carlina had reason to be especially thankful after winning about $617K at California’s Eagle Mountain Casino.

The $617,150.11 payout for the Central Valley resident is the largest so far this year at the Porterville tribal gaming property, the casino announced on Tuesday.

The win was on a Dollar Storm slot machine manufactured by Aristocrat Gaming.

Thanksgiving Payout in Texas

A visitor to Texas’ Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino Hotel in Eagle Pass also had extra reason to be thankful on Thanksgiving.

The Corpus Christi man won $691,289.48 while playing a Frankenstein slot machine.

The unnamed player had wagered $6.

Luck for New Orleans Casino Visitor

A woman at Caesars New Orleans won a jackpot of about $150K on November 26.

The total jackpot was $156,301.

The man was playing a Tree of Wealth Jade Eternity slot machine when his $66 bet won a payout worth $996,852.25.

The unnamed player is from Naples.

Another visitor to the casino on November 20 won $151,934.05 on a Lock It Link slot machine.

Record Payout at MGM Grand Detroit

A lucky player at the MGM Grand Detroit won more than $1.2M on November 21. The total is believed to be the largest jackpot ever in the gaming property’s 25-year history.

The unnamed visitor won $1,271,645 on a Dragon Link slot machine, which is made by Aristocrat Gaming.

Matt Buckey, president of MGM Grand Detroit, commented in a statement, “Seeing our players win big is always a source of excitement for our team.”

Palazzo Guest Wins $1M

On November 21, an unnamed visitor won more than $1M at The Palazzo in Las Vegas.

The total payout was $1,027,979.30. The person bet $50 on a Dragon Link slot machine in the high-limit gaming lounge.

At about 4:30 a.m. on September 14, the Morris County New Jersey woman bet $20 on an Aristocrat Gaming Dollar Storm slot machine while at the Boardwalk gaming property.

That resulted in the payout. No word what she will do with the progressive win.

The jackpot marks one of the most significant payouts in the casino’s history,” a casino spokesperson said in a recent statement.

Nebraska Visitor Wins $1.6M at Vegas Casino

A man visiting Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort & Casino won $1,620,470 on September 5.

Identified as Scott of Omaha, Nebraska, he was playing Pai Gow Poker when he got a seven-card straight flush with a joker, according to the Las Vegas Sun.

He was playing the game for some 90 minutes before getting the win via a progressive jackpot.

He immediately called his wife to share the good news. He will invest the jackpot.

Scott was at the casino that night dressed in a shirt featuring the number of Kansas City Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes.

The winner stopped off at the casino to try his luck before watching the game between the Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs won that game by a score of 27 to 20.

The winner is a Caesars Rewards member.

FanDuel Casino Announces $1M Sweepstakes Winner

One very lucky man, Agostino Limongelli, recently won $1M from the FanDuel Casino in its summer sweepstakes promotion.

“No, no, no. I did not!” was Limongelli’s initial response on September 9 win caught live on YouTube.

Oh my god. How can that be?” the 62-year-old added. “Holy sXXt.”

“I don’t know what to say. I’m shocked. A million dollars…My heart is racing out of my head.”

He wants to use to the money to go on a vacation and purchase a car. He also thanked FanDuel for the payout.

Slot Winner at Vegas’ California Casino

A visitor from Hawaii won $891,775.72 while trying their luck last month at downtown Las Vegas’ California Hotel & Casino.

The mystery winner collected the jackpot while playing an IGT Wheel of Fortune slot machine on August 6. The player had bet $1.75.

In June, another visitor, also from Hawaii, at the same casino won $1.5M on the same game. That winner was visiting Las Vegas to celebrate his son’s 21^st birthday. The June winner declined to release his name, but revealed he had good luck because he had a red envelope in a pocket.

One suspect in a robbery scheme that targeted two elderly casino winners last February was recently arrested while his alleged accomplices remain free after they reportedly stole a bag containing steak and lobster rather than the $130K in cash the couple won at an Illinois gaming property.

The victims were targeted at the Rivers Casino Des Plaines and followed to their Fox Lake, Ill. residence on February 10.

But the suspects failed to look inside the bag. The female victim had placed the cash in her walker while the bag stolen by the robbers contained leftover food.

Police were alerted and after finding out the license plate number on the get-away vehicle, identified the two suspects.

Michael Britton, 27, of Chicago, was arrested on August 28. He was charged with armed robbery, aggravated robbery, and robbery of a victim over 60, according to the Fox Lake Police Department.

The defendants made off with her leftover steak and lobster as opposed to the $130,000,” Lake County Assistant State’s Attorney Michael Theis was quoted this week by the Scanner.

When Britton appeared in court recently, Lake County Judge Theodore Potkonjak said about the victims, “I guess in their own way, [they] outsmarted the bad guys.”

The second suspect, Aramie Kent of Maywood, Ill. is still being sought. A judge signed a warrant for his arrest. A third suspect spoke to the couple at the casino and was part of the robbery scheme, police said. She also is on the lam.

Atlantic City Casino Attack Leads to Arrests

An assault at the Tropicana Atlantic City led to a woman falling unconscious and a man being threatened by a knife on Sunday.

The female victim was kicked and punched in the head during the struggle. There’s no update on her current medical condition.

The incident began in the Quarter, a portion of the casino with restaurants and retail stores.

It wasn’t immediately known what led to the fight. It’s also unclear if others involved will be charged, according to the Daily Voice.
