According to a local TV station, KVVU, Deon Newton was later charged with violence and gambling establishment fraud.
Mon around 12:38 a.m., the victim was spinning the reels on a slot machine. He briefly turned to see his wife before continuing.
KVVU reported that Newton approached the slot and depressed a button. A ticket with a value of $67.07 materialized. The gaming ticket then seemed to be removed from the machine by Newton, according to the police. The event was recorded by security cameras.
However, the gamer quickly went back to the slot machine, and a fight started.
Newton first moved away from the slot. He allegedly returned after that and hit the other man in the face. The two then allegedly engaged in combat. There were no grave wounds.
Officers were informed by Newton that he visits casinos to collect tickets that appear to have been thrown away. Police claim that he later cashes them in.
Newton was warned to avoid the Strip when he appeared before a judge this week. On August 30, Newton is expected to appear in court once more.
New Regulation
A local rule that would enable authorities to bar people from the Strip who have been convicted of a crime or misdemeanor was broadened by Clark County Commissioners earlier this week.
If the defendant is found guilty of visiting the Strip, the new rule provides that they might face up to a $1,000 fine and/or six months in jail. It will be put into effect during the upcoming several months.
Currently, judges have the authority to ban convicted prostitutes and drug traffickers from the Strip for a period of up to a year.
Rescued Canine
A California man was charged with animal abuse in a separate incident that happened at the Bellagio last month when security personnel freed a caged three-month-old dog, according to TV news sources. The young canine was allegedly abandoned by the 50-year-old man at the casino in a hot automobile. It had tape covering its mouth.
In the automobile, the temperature was close to 108 degrees. The Siberian Husky puppy was without food or water. There was no air conditioning running. According to KSNV, the dog had black electrical tape covering its mouth.
According to KLAS, the car was left parked on the top floor of the hotel-casino garage for nearly two hours. The automobile was in full sunshine.
The puppy made it through the trauma. When it was in the car, the dog was breathing heavily. After being saved, the puppy was placed in a cool vehicle. Water was provided to it.
Raul Carbajal, a California resident from Corona Del Mar, was the individual who was detained.
