With Halloween right around the corner, screams of every kind are filling the air — but one particularly loud, happy shriek on the casino floor at Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino in East Peoria had nothing to do with ghosts or goblins.
On October 17, a longtime Illinois guest hit the Blazing 777s Progressive Jackpot from Light & Wonder for $102,812, turning a regular gaming session into an unforgettable night.
The player had been at the machine for nearly two hours, steadily placing the $5 side bets required to qualify for the progressive. When three 7s of the same suit finally lined up, the reaction was instant — a pure, unfiltered scream of joy that caught the attention of both staff and nearby guests.
Once the initial shock wore off, the winner was all smiles, laughing with the Par-A-Dice team and already talking about putting the unexpected windfall toward a new car.
It’s the kind of moment casino regulars dream about: the right game, the right side bet, and a little patience paying off in a big way. Congrats to the lucky player — and may the next progressive hit be even louder.
