On Monday, Winnipeg, Manitoba resident Cornell Mclean Sr. was the lucky winner.
On a Dancing Drums Explosion slot, specifically. On the player’s second spin, the jackpot was won.
Mclean, his wife Lisa, and their children and son-in-law went to the casino.
Due to an hour-long delay, they initially considered turning their car around at the US-Canadian border, according to Valley News Live, a North Dakota news website.
Mclean, though, thought that the four deserved a rest. Additionally, they had already traveled the 200 miles. So they traveled to the gaming establishment.
The entire family was fortunate that they did.
Mclean and his wife want to spend some of the funds to buy a new home. The three siblings of Mclean will split the remaining funds. The jackpot will also be split among the couple’s 16 grandchildren and five children. Two of the grandchildren are legally in the care of the older Mcleans.
However, despite winning, the couple’s way of life will not change.
We’ll continue to operate as we have been. Valley News Live quoted Mclean. “How we live won’t be altered by this.”
