Magic Diamond Casino: Man Allegedly Attacked Patron in Bathroom

A patron was attacked under suspicious circumstances in the restroom of a Montana Magic Diamond Casino, sparking a swift police investigation.

Authorities have since arrested a man in connection with the incident, though motives remain unclear; larceny is the version they are running with. Thankfully, the victim did not suffer fatal consequences and is alive and well.

No Fatal Outcome for the Victim Who Lost $1,500

On Sunday night, a man was arrested on charges that he strangled and robbed a casino patron at the Magic Diamond Casino in Belgrade, Montana. The crime was reported at 9:30 pm with the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office responding to the 911 call.

Captain Michael Van Meter provided details bout the case, arguing that the victim had been gambling at the property when they met a group of people.

While he was in the bathroom, one of the individuals he had met followed him into the bathroom and wrapped a cord around his neck,” Van Meter added.

The officer argues that the victim was first strangled to submit to the assailant and then robbed of an estimated $1,500.

The available footage from the Magic Diamond Casino as helped the police identify the potential perpetrator, with the victim further providing eye eyewitness account to help the police.

Presently, Van Meter argues that the arrested man is one Ayden Klompien. The footage showed him wearing a jacket that was later found near the property, whereas the suspected perpetrator himself was arrested at West Shore Drive in Belgrade.

The police argued that the victim’s recent win – or the money he brought in – had incentivized the attacker.

“Anytime you’re handling significant quantities of cash in public, be very judicious about how you carry yourself, your belongings, and your valuables,” the captain reminded the public.
