The Mega Millions game has had another drawing without a jackpot winner. The Friday drawing resulted in no Match 5 wins either, as the game experienced a quieter drawing. The jackpot has therefore remained unclaimed, continuing its creep toward the $500 million mark.
The Friday Drawing Was a Quieter One
The Friday Mega Millions drawing offered a jackpot of $463 million with a cash option of $194.9 million to the players. Claiming this mouth-watering sum, however, required players to match all six numbers for that drawing – a feat that no player managed to do. As a result, the top prize has survived, reaching $482 million for the next drawing. A hypothetical winner this Tuesday would also have the lump sum alternative of $203.6 million.
For reference, the winning numbers drawn on October 30 were 5, 10, 38, 49, and 68, plus the gold Mega Ball 17.
As mentioned, the Friday drawing had no jackpot or Match 5 winners. At the same time, only a few players managed to match four white numbers plus the Mega Ball. This resulted in a total of three five-figure wins, as follows:
- One player won $20,000 (2x multiplier)
- Two players won $30,000 each (3x multiplier)
The next Mega Millions drawing is set to take place on November 3, at 11 pm ET.
Several Match 5 Prizes Made American Players Richer
The previous Mega Millions drawing also had no big winners. That drawing had six five-figure payouts, which included four $30,000 sums. While the drawing before this also lacked Match 5 wins.
The most recent Match 5 win to happen in Mega Millions was a $5 million payout that was won in New York on October 16. Before that, a player in New Jersey and a player in Florida matched all five winning numbers, which netted them prizes of $2 million and $3 million, respectively.
At the same time, the Powerball jackpot is nearing the $800 million mark, as the game’s momentum continues. It remains to be seen which jackpot will be won first.
