The Next Mega Millions Drawing Approaches
February 28, 2026
Anticipation is mounting among Mega Millions enthusiasts as the jackpot remains unclaimed after several weeks of rollovers. The last jackpot win happened over a month ago, when a fortunate ticket holder in Hudson County, New Jersey, claimed $90 million from the December 2025 drawing.
That New Jersey prize came soon after the enormous $983 million Mega Millions jackpot was finally collected. The massive prize was won in November 2025 in Georgia, but the winner delayed claiming it until early January 2026, choosing the cash option.
Following those January events, Mega Millions drawings have seen no jackpot hits, though notable seven-figure consolation prizes have added thrill. In the most recent drawing (Friday, February 27, 2026), players in Illinois and Oklahoma won $3 million and $5 million, respectively.
The Friday drawing’s winning numbers were 11, 18, 39, 43, 67 with Mega Ball 23. No one matched all six numbers, so the jackpot has rolled over.
The current Mega Millions jackpot is now estimated at $473 million, with the lump-sum cash option around $221.8 million.
The next drawing is set for Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 11 p.m. ET. Could this be the one?
Three Players Score $100K Each in Recent Powerball Draw
Lottery fans have plenty to anticipate this weekend and beyond. After Friday’s Mega Millions action, Saturday’s Powerball drawing (February 28, 2026) offered an estimated jackpot of $238 million (cash value approximately $112 million).
The Saturday Powerball winning numbers were 6, 20, 35, 54, 65, with Powerball 10 and Power Play 4x. No jackpot winner emerged, and there were no second-tier ($1 million or $2 million with Power Play) matches either.
Still, the drawing delivered solid third-tier prizes: seven players won notable amounts, including four at $50,000 each and three who received $100,000 apiece thanks to the Power Play multiplier.
With both major multi-state lotteries rolling over and offering huge prizes ahead, the buzz is stronger than ever. Best of luck to everyone playing!
