You really can recycle your money to yourself when you play video poker. Playing video poker, especially Jacks or Better, is a lot like recycling your money back to yourself. And the casino will give you comps, free meals, and gifts for doing it.

Script of Video: I’m starting with one hundred dollars, and I’m going to play several hands. You’ll notice that after we bet hold and draw the wins are frequent. Not big, but there are a lot of winning hands.
Don’t think of it as winning the casino’s money. They never lose.
Think of it as winning your own money back. And then, just that quick, with a swift press of a button, you’re putting it back in the machine, and the process continues, over and over again.
All the while, the casino thinks you’re a gambling maniac! So they give you points for what you’re putting back in the machine. Then you can use the points toward comps like free play, gifts, and shows. But a lot of the money that you’re putting in is coming right back to you. That’s what I call recycling!
Notice that we’re still roughly at one hundred dollars after a number of hands. That’s because we’re mostly holding the correct cards according to the Jacks or Better strategy. That’s really the key to recycling your money and picking up points.
You’re not going to come out a winner every time. But if you play with a strategy you’ll keep as much of your money as possible, and you’ll have more chances of hitting the grand prize: a Royal Flush.
So while luck and the turn of a friendly card have a lot to do with it, playing with the correct strategy is crucial.
