The latest addition adds 1,400 new slot machines to the property, bringing the total number of machines to almost 4,000 and further solidifying its place as the city’s premier gaming destination.

The new area comes less than three months after the property was approved to operate as a full-scale casino, adding table games to its long-standing slot offering. Since the switch, demand has been strong and executives say gaming activity has already generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue in just a few weeks of operation. Company officials said the additional machines should extend gains in earnings and tax payments to New York State.
One major addition to the expanded floor will be a themed gaming area that will make visitors feel like they are in a high-energy slot experience. The space features a wide selection of popular titles plus a handful of connected progressive jackpots that can grow into seven figures. Management hopes the new setup will increase capacity as well as improve the overall visitor experience.
Queens Casino Aims to Become Nation’s Largest Resort
The expansion forms part of a much larger long-term development plan worth more than $5 billion. Future phases will convert the Queens property into one of the largest integrated resorts in the country. There are plans for a huge casino floor with thousands of extra machines and hundreds of live dealer tables, as well as a number of hotels, a large entertainment arena and new public spaces.
Work is already underway on the next phase, which includes plans for more hotel towers, a multi-purpose venue that can accommodate thousands of guests and new infrastructure to accommodate more visitors. The project is also expected to generate significant employment opportunities, adding to the thousands of jobs already supported by the resort.
Resorts World has also been active in community initiatives outside of gaming and development. The company also said this month it will give $250,000 to nonprofit groups throughout New York State as it expands commercially.
